Let the fund raising begin… OFF WITH HIS HAIR!

January 15, 2011 – 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Craftworks Taphouse and Bistro

The first preliminary event will kick-off the fund raising by giving everyone a chance to fight Heart Disease and rid the world of the notoriously luscious locks of Philip “Big Cat” Guerrero, the PCG Heart Run Committee Chair.  Those who know Phil are aware of the exaggerated pride he takes in his wavy curls and have likely fantasized about taking a razor to his awkwardly shaped dome. UPDATE!!! The brave Seoul Survivor known as  Nathan” Emu” Farren will also take the plunge and hack off his hair for the cause!  Show up, donate, and possibly get a chance to cut either Emu’s or Phil’s hair!

As for event details: the event will take place at Craftworks Taphouse and Bistro.  The managers there have generously allowed us to host our event at their beautiful and comfortable location in the Noksapyeong/Itaewon area of Seoul.  On top of this, Craftworks will donate 1000 won for every beer that is sold during the event (from 5-7 pm).  Also, get there early and try one of the wonderfully crafted beers for FREE (the first 30 folks).  So come, drink, and watch Phil’s hair hit the floor.

Big thanks to the people over at Craftworks, particularly Dan and Ted, for the help and generosity.

Other Logistics:

  • Every $50 (60,000 Won) raised will subtract one inch of hair from Phil’s head.  The goal is to leave 1 or less inches on his head.  He currently has 12 inches (about 30 cm), thus meeting the goal would put the fund-raised total at $600 (720,000 Won).
  • Donations can be made in person before or during the event (to Philip Guerrero, also see “Contact Us” page), via Paypal (see the right side panel of every page of this website for the link), or transferred to a Korean bank account (only available to those in Korea, if you would prefer this contact Philip).

Hope to see everyone there!

Let’s Run!

Phil is currently training 5 days a week by running all over Southern California.  He greatly appreciates training with others and would love to run with some company.  If you are in So Cal and would like to join him for a run, contact us (see “Contact Us” page).
